Character Info
Add Character
- From the
Manager Panel
, click the add Character button (plus icon). - This will open the
Character Manager
.

By default, each new character is assigned a randomly generated name.
Rename Character
- From the Character Manager Info tab, type the character's name into the
Name
input field. - From the Character Manager Info tab, click the icon next to the
Name
input field to generate a random name.
Define Character Pronouns/Aliases

In addition to the character's name you can use Pronouns/Aliases to reference characters within the Event Content When editing a character, every linked reference will update automatically.
- From the Character Manager Info tab, type the character's Pronouns/Aliases into the
Pronouns/Aliases
input field. - Press the
Enter
key to confirm
You can also choose a default pronoun from the dropdown menu by clicking the arrow icon next to the Pronouns/Aliases
input field.
Change Character Description
- From the Character Manager Info tab, write the character's bio into the
Description
input field.
Remove Character
- From the Character Manager, click the Remove Character button (bin icon).
Character Personality
This section hosts a compass for mixing unique character personalities across two axes, Drive
(blue; urge to fulfill) and Agency
(orange; vitality to sustain).
The axes represent the aggregate temperament influencing the character's motivations and emotional core.
Each quadrant contains togglable masks with varying power (1-4x) effect over the aggregate temperament. Masks highlighted in blue and/or orange borders are flagged dominate.
Define Character Personality
- From the Character Manager Personality Tab, click the desired
Mask
to toggle it. - From the Character Manager Personality Tab, right-click the desired
Mask
to enable/disable it.
Change Mask Portrait
- From the Character Manager Personality Tab, right-click the desired
Mask
to oprn the context menu. - Click on the cange button to upload the desired image.
- Adjust the portrait and click the save button.

Masks are visualized as character portraits in the event stream throughout the Storyteller’s live performance.
Character Events
The Character Events tab shows a list of every event your character is referenced, grouped by scene, across your entire storyworld. In addition, in this tab you can see how the character and mask associated with each event is referenced.
- From the Character Manager Events Tab, click the name of an Event to highlight the corresponding Event in the Scene Map.
